Posted by Bethany Kay, Second year Student

Recently we’ve been working with a new Christian Radio Station that’s located in Coventry, ‘Radio Plus’, as part of a new creative module that we’re undertaking. It’s been so much fun! Me, one of my classmates and a lecturer had the opportunity to speak about the college on the radio via a mini interview (and now we feel famous) which was so exciting. Then last week, all of the students in college walked around the city centre of Coventry and interviewed people about their opinions on Coventry and on God, which will soon be aired on the radio. Such a brilliant opportunity and even though it was quite challenging, it was very rewarding. This is a fantastic module because it is training us up in the practical side of ministry and is really enjoyable!

Reading Week Spring Term

It’s Tuesday of the Spring reading week and this place feels so quiet! Normally on a Tuesday the place is busy with students and staff, lectures and tutorials. This week ,however, a quietness has descended as students are mostly studying at home and several of the staff have taken the opportunity to have a few days off during the week. Some of the students have come in today to use the library so it was nice to see some faces around the place! Next Monday the second half of the term will begin and assignment deadlines start to loom.

We are also preparing for our next Open day on 9 March, visit our events page for more details and contact us if you are interested in attending- we look forward to meeting you!

The term is flying by and it’s December tomorrow- where have all the weeks gone? Have you got your advent calendars ready?! Here at Trinity we are rapidly approaching the end of the Autumn term and snow is lying on the ground signalling that Winter is here. All the students are busy with assignments and juggling all the pre-Christmas social events that we all enjoy so much. By the end of this week there will be only 2 weeks of term left before one month off and everyone is looking forward to the Christmas break with family and friends. Here in the office we will be closed for 2 weeks over Christmas from 17th December until 4th January so if you need to contact us, please do so before then. Have a great Christmas in case I don’t have time to blog again before the 17th!

Start of Term October 2010

Well, the new term has started! It has gone very well and we welcome all the new students to life here at TST. We had a great Freshers week at the end of September where we really got to know all the new students and they enjoyed spending time getting to know each other through a variety of ativities including a mega treasure hunt and a trip to the Peak District. Now that term has started, we are all settling into a routine and the studies have begun. The new evening classes on a Monday night have also begun and are being very well attended which is very encouraging. We look forward to the next Hot Topic Day on Tuesday 19th October where we will be looking at the topic of embryology and bio engineering. Give us a ring if you are interested in attending, it promises to be a very interesting day.

It’s reading week for the staff and students this week so a chance for a short break and time to enjoy the sunshine. Only 5 weeks of lectures to go until the end of term and graduation is fast approaching on July 3rd. It is amazing how quickly the time has flown by and we look forward to seeing the certificates being handed out in only 5 and a half weeks time!

Well, here we are at the start of a new term at Trinity! This academic year has gone very quickly and we will soon be at the end of our first year in Rugby. This term will see the third year students completing their dissertations and the other year groups completing their assignments for the academic year.

We are also, as a staff team, working on the new evening class course to start in the autumn term 2010 and the Hot Topic days programme which will commence on July 5th 2010. Please follow the website for any updates on these 2 exciting new ventures.

Last Saturday we held an Open Day at Trinity for potential students and it was great to meet with some individuals who are interested in joining us here at Trinity in the future. We had some sample lectures, presentations on life at Trinity School of Theology and also heard from some current students. It was a great opportunity for potential students to meet the staff and some of the current students and ‘get a feel’ for what it is like here at Trinity.

If you’re reading this and are interested in attending an Open Day, please contact us; admissions@trinityschooloftheology.org.uk or fill in the contact form on this website.
