Application Process

The admissions process at Trinity School of Theology is easy to follow and all of the documents that you need can be found on this website. If you are interested in applying for one of the courses at Trinity School of Theology, please read the following carefully:

The admissions process takes approximately one month to complete and therefore we advise all potential students to apply as soon as you have decided that you are interested in studying at the school, rather than leaving it to the last minute before the Autumn intake. The summer months of July and August are a busy time with staff away on holidays and getting ready for the next academic year, so we like to process all applications as early as we can, especially for any international applicants. We can still process applications in the summer months, but we encourage earlier applications.

If degree level applicants have either not been educated under the UK system, have not taken A-levels or have been out of education for a considerable amount of time, they are usually requested to complete an admissions essay on a topic of Trinity’s choice. This is to ensure that the academic abilities of the applicant are at the required level to study on the degree programme.

For 1, 2 or 3 year course applications, the individual must complete and send in an application form (including the personal statement), the £25 application fee and 2 passport photos. Trinity then takes up the references and decides whether to proceed with the application. At this stage the applicant may be asked to submit an essay on a topic of Trinity’s choice. Then the directors will decide whether to offer a place to the applicant. Following the offer of a place, this must be accepted by the student and a £100 tuition fee deposit paid.

For evening class applications, individuals must complete the relevant application form and send it in with the £5 application fee. They should also pass on the reference form to their pastor to return to Trinity. Once both the application forms and the references forms are received by Trinity, then we will contact the applicant regarding the offer of a place on the classes.

Hot Topic days are applied for on an individual basis by emailing the admissions office.

If you have any queries regarding application, then please contact the admissions office by email or call them on +44 (0)1788 556 877.
