Here at Trinity School of Theology there are numerous ministry opportunities. As part of the programme in Theology and Ministry, students are required to take part in Christian ministry for a minimum of 2 hours per week. In addition students are required, as part of different modules, to undertake various ministry projects that they use as the basis for assessed assignments.
Trinity School of Theology has good relationships with a number of churches and Christian charities in the town, and students partner with these contacts for their ministry placements. Examples include; Youth work, chaplaincy work, outreach to the homeless, ministry amongst the elderly and others.
During Freshers week, each student is asked to complete a questionnaire which details their particular special interests and gives the Trinity staff an idea of which area of ministry might be appropriate for the individual. On discussion with the student, arrangements are made for ministry opportunities that suit the individual’s giftings and interests and the student will be part of that particular ministry for the entire academic year. It is reviewed on a yearly basis.
There are also ministry opportunities with Trinity- the daily assemblies are regularly take by students and there is also the opportunity for students to serve on various small teams within TST such as hospitality, IT, room set up and media.
