Mike Brown

Background
Mike was born in 1960 and raised in the city of Manchester. After studying mathematics at Liverpool University he became a Christian at the age of 21. Believing it was right for him to become a missionary in Albania, he attended the Bible College of Wales from 1983-1986. In 1989 he went out to live in Kosovo province in what was then known as Yugoslavia.
He was involved in Bible teaching ministry both in Kosovo and among Slovak believers in the northern province of Vojvodina. After moving to Albania in July 1991, Mike then began a church-planting ministry in and around Korca, southeast Albania in 1991.
This continued until 2002 whilst working at various times on an MA in Missiology from Fuller Seminary in California. Mike's work culminated in working full-time for two years (2002-2004) in the Albanian Bible Institute, Durres. He and his wife Suela, along with their two children, Nathanael and Anastasia, live in Nuneaton where Mike and Suela pastor a church. Mike is also a qualified teacher of mathematics.
