Trinity School of Theology (formally known as the Bible College of Wales) is a non-denominational Bible Training Centre based in Warwickshire, central England. At our new centre in Rugby, Trinity School of Theology seeks to train the whole person for ministry and outreach through a blend of the academic and the practical. There are a variety of courses on offer, ranging from short term courses to degree study (both full time and part time). See our courses page for more information.
The degree programme is accredited by York St John University. York St John has established an excellent reputation in training those in preparation for, and already in, church ministry and has several satellite centres throughout the country. Their aim is to combine practical ministry training and sound theological study in their courses, whilst allowing Trinity to develop its own unique teaching programme, delivered by a variety of well qualified experts from its strong teaching Faculty.
While Trinity School of Theology is a non-residential centre, it has a strong student community. This includes shared accommodation in student houses, being members of encounter groups (small groups within the school made up of staff and students), joining in focused prayer and taking part in social activities and outings .
The programmes, which are taught by a fulltime and visiting Faculty of 10 lecturers, cover a wide variety of topics. A typical third year placement will involve being placed with a church for the minimum duration of one term (approximately 12 weeks).
Trinity School of Theology is governed by Global Horizons which is committed to training people to take the Christian message to the nations in the 21st century. They do this by partnering with the worldwide Church through the provision of theological training. Global Horizons continues the work begun by Rees Howells at the start of the last century.
